Morocco - March 2008

The Souks in Marrakesh are where you can haggle for almost anything...

At night the Place Jemaa El Fna turns into a huge outdoor restaurant

Throughout Morocco you see the most amazing tiled mosaic patterns. These are from the Medersa Ali Ben Youssef. The building was erected in the 14th century and was once a Koranic school
This is the Koutoubia Mosque. It had to be rebuilt at one stage as it did not align with Mecca - don't you just hate that. Now days kids use the courtyard as a playground.
Tagine anyone?

The old Jewish cemetarty

From Marrakech we drove through the steep Atlas mountains towards Ouarzazate. Whilst the roads are quite good the other drivers are rubbish!
The lovely Les Tourmalines hotel just outside Ouarzazate
Michael certainly has an eye for photography
